After two decades, Bill Strahan, key HR strategist at Comcast retires.

This week, Comcast publicized the retirement of the company’s CHRO Bill Strahan later this year, who has played an essential role in the company’s HR strategy for the past 20 years.  

“Bill has been an incredible leader at Comcast and a true partner to so many across the organization, and we are extremely grateful for the lasting impact he’s had on our company and its HR strategy,” said Steve Croney, CEO, Comcast Connectivity and Platforms.  

Vicki Williams is stepping into the role of CHRO, in addition to her current position as chief human resources officer at NBCUniversal where she has served for the past eight years. In this organizational shift, Melanie Penna is also being promoted, and bringing her over 30 years of leadership experience to role of chief human resources officer of the connectivity and platforms business. 

“Vicki is a highly respected leader and trusted advisor, with a strong track record of aligning talent, culture, and organizational strategy with business priorities,” said Mike Cavanagh, co-chief executive officer, Comcast Corporation. “Her strategic mindset, thoughtful leadership style, strong judgment, and people-first approach make her an excellent fit for this new role. I’m excited about the positive impact she will continue to have across the company.”
