The Association Awards are now Forum-centered, regionally anchored, and impact-driven, designed to elevate both the recognition experience and the visibility of the work being honored.

How the Association Awards Work in 2026
Beginning in 2026, the HRO Today Association Awards will be presented in alignment with HRO Today Forums by region.
By aligning recognition with our regional Forums, we can celebratemembers where engagement is naturally strongest — ensuring finalists are honored within their own communities in a way that feels personal, relevant, and impactful. As part of this shift, the finalist experience is being enhanced with recognition presented on a meaningful stage connected directly to the audiences who know their work best.
EMEA
- Presented during the 2026 HRO Today Forum EMEA – Early November 2026
- Finalists must attend the Forum to be in consideration to win an award
APAC
- No change for 2026
- Association Awards will be continued to be offered virtually
- Winners for the 2025 Association Awards for the APAC region will be announced at the February 18 Q1 APAC Board of Advisors Meeting
The Association Awards Experience In-Person
For North America and EMEA, the Association Awards will take place as a dedicated segment within the Forum agenda.
Each Awards presentation includes:
- A member-driven session that provides content value to attendees
- A live awards presentation celebrating member excellence across the Association
The session is open to all Forum participants and is designed to deliver both insight and recognition – making it a must attend moment within the Forum experience.
The 2026 Awards have been thoughtfully streamlined to center on four core categories that more clearly reflect the heart of our community’s work. Within this simplified structure, we also have the flexibility to highlight distinct areas of excellence, ensuring we continue to recognize the diverse strengths and accomplishments of members across the HR and service provider landscape.
Member of the Year
Recognizing an individual Association member whose leadership, engagement, and contribution elevate both the global Association community and the broader world of work.
This award honors members who not only demonstrate meaningful involvement, thought leadership, and support within the Association, but also create positive impact across their organization or the HR industry. Recipients exemplify the values of the community while advancing workplace excellence, innovation, or people‑centric practices in ways that resonate beyond the Association itself.
Team of the Year
Celebrating an HR team that delivered meaningful impact through collaboration, innovation, and results – strengthening their organization and exemplifying practices that advance the HR profession.
This award recognizes practitioner teams that successfully addressed organizational challenges and delivered measurable outcomes through strategic HR initiatives. Honorees demonstrate how effective teamwork, creative problem‑solving, and aligned HR strategy can drive meaningful progress within their organization while reflecting approaches that inspire excellence across the field.
Business Partnership Excellence – External
Honoring an outstanding partnership between an HRO Today Association HR Service Provider member and a client organization that achieved measurable success together.
This category celebrates collaborations that go beyond traditional vendor relationships to deliver real business impact. Client organizations are not required to be Association members.
Business Partnership Excellence – Internal
Recognizing cross‑functional collaboration within an organization that drove enterprise‑wide impact and results.
This award highlights internal partnerships, such as HR working with IT, operations, or other functions, to successfully execute strategic initiatives and drive meaningful change.
Attendance & Eligibility
The HRO Today Association Awards are exclusively open to members of the Association. To be eligible as a finalist or to receive an award, you must be an active member at the time of the Awards presentation. This premier recognition program is designed to celebrate the achievements of our global community of HR and talent leaders – and is one of the many benefits of being part of the Association.
