HRO Today Association Update: High-Level Engagement

I am pleased to share the Association has welcomed two new HR service provider members, PeopleScout and EverHive, to our growing community. As leaders in the RPO and contingent work-force management space, respectively, they will bring valuable insights and perspective to upcoming Association meetings.

Members of C-TEN (CHRO Today Executive Network) will hold their annual in-person meeting at the at the HRO Today Forum, May 2nd in Philadelphia. The C-TEN retreat was one of the highest rated sessions of the 2021 HRO Today Forum. Following the retreat, one member reflected, “The C-TEN retreat was one of the most valuable days I have spent out of the office. It was a great balance of subject matter -experts sharing their experience and vision, mixed with the opportunity to have roundtable discussions at the end of each one. I have already begun sharing some of the learnings from the meeting.”

C-TEN is a content and development society designed around busy schedules. CHROs from GNC, Quest Diagnostics, Marriot Vacations Worldwide, TriHealth, FIS, San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance, American Tire Distributors, Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals, Piedmont Healthcare and more, meet one hour once a month to work through today’s HR challenges. C-TEN is a safe place to seek advice on the critical issues keeping leaders up at night, share successes, and discuss HR’s future.

Our last in-person meeting in September was well attended and members enjoyed both the variety of guest speakers and the opportunity to sit across the table from one another to discuss current challenges. A few members told me they wished the meeting was longer and that they really enjoyed the conversations. An objective of C-TEN is to help build peer networks and these live meetings are a great way to get to know other members and work through important issues together.

Convenient and interactive, the Association’s livestreams allow members to connect with each other and industry thought leaders around content and best practice sharing. And back by popular demand is Jeff Lackey, vice president of talent acquisition for CVS Health to continue the conversation he started in January on CVS Health’s “National Hiring Day.” This initiative netted more than 45,000 hires as a result of the massive campaign across 10,000-plus locations within 28 days. On Tuesday, March 22 at 1:00 p.m. ET, Lackey will talk about how he and his team accomplished these results. Association members: Please visit www.hrotoday.com/association to reserve your seat.

Our “HR Table Talks” also continues to be a popular offering, allowing members to connect virtually to discuss challenges and issues “keeping them up at night.” On Wednesday, April 27 at 1:00 p.m. ET, we will get answers to the question: “Are Competency-Based Leadership Development Programs Worth the Investment?” This session will offer the opportunity to explore, through discussion and shared examples, how to maximize your organization’s investment in competency-based learning and development; build or support an accountable leadership learning culture; and deliver returns through employee retention and advancement of top talent (or those on their way to be!). Association members: Please visit www.hrotoday.com/association to reserve your seat.

To all our members who have chosen to be a part of the HRO Today Association and C-TEN, I thank you. We promise to continue to offer a high-level of educational and professional development opportunities for you and your team to choose from. I look forward to seeing you at a future meeting!
