By leveraging analytics on the front end, healthcare recruiters can skip candidate clutter and focus on high-fit clinicians who match both cultural and clinical needs.

“Everybody has data. What people don’t have is insight, and insight allows them to take action,” shares David Durbin, President of Trio Workforce Solutions.
This data-driven insight is a key differentiator for managing complex workforce strategies and enabling healthcare systems to find the right talent at the right time. When organizations build more sophisticated processes on the front end based on analytics, they have the ability to identify and attract talent more quickly. For healthcare roles, TA teams can evaluate applicants based on data insights and reduce the decision-making process, moving from evaluating five or six candidates to easily pinpointing two very competent and well-qualified fits for the position.
“You’re no longer sifting through a bunch of talent that probably is not interested or may or may not have the right cultural background or clinical background,” says Durbin. “It’s the part where we can really compress that speed to candidate review and that speed to candidate offer.”
This is also an improvement to the overall experience—for both candidates and TA leaders. “Our TA teams have taken a much different approach to the experience management process, so we’re really looking to help differentiate and make the opportunity much more attractive to the agencies and the partners that we have that are bringing forward talent.”
Data reporting and dashboards also have the ability to track successful placements and right-fit candidates. By analyzing which candidates thrive in specific roles and care settings, healthcare TA teams can make more informed matching decisions and improve quality of hire over time. Durbin says this creates robust internal talent pools, which provide more opportunities and options for physicians and nurses who are looking to work beyond normal schedules, including additional shifts, float opportunities, and seasonal needs. “It’s a better experience and it’s much more cost-effective than standard margins,” Durbin explains.
This data-driven approach provides greater flexibility for top candidates while helping healthcare organizations to reduce friction by filling staffing gaps faster, lowering costs, and maintaining a high standard of patient care.
