CVS Health has made significant strides in recruitment over the past year, hiring over 115,000 employees year-to-date, with a broader goal of 145,000 by the end of 2024. On the executive level, the organization has hired over 240 senior leaders and promoted 145 internal candidates to senior-level roles. Â
To achieve this, the company launched its Workday platform in late 2023 and made over 150 enhancements throughout 2024 to improve the user experience. Further, CVS Health launched Phenom, a new CRM platform, and updated its career pages, resulting in millions of new visitors and a 9.5 satisfaction score. Â
To improve and diversify the company’s talent pool, CVS Health’s recruitment team supported market share growth in the pharmacy business by hiring over 4,500 clinical employees, 7,500 licensed pharmacists, and 2,000 technology professionals. Also in 2024, CVS Health launched a pilot program aimed at hiring more neurodiverse individuals and trained over 750 employees on neurodiversity. Â
The recruitment team has supported the growth of the clinical, pharmacy, and technology sectors; sought out ways to maintain a robust talent pool; streamlined the candidate experience; met high-volume hiring needs; and enhanced its online career pages to improve its employer brand and promote CVS Health as preferred employer. Â
CVS Health won the HRO Today Association North America Award for Recruitment Team of the Year (Large Market). Â
