To enhance the onboarding experience for new hires in a fully remote environment, FINEOS has launched its “Spring! Onboarding” programme. The initiative, led by the HR team and supported by leaders of new employees, was designed and prepared over 12 months before being rolled out over two months.
By leveraging technology to ensure seamless integration into the organisation, FINEOS aims to engage new employees from the start, increasing their likelihood of having long careers with the company. By leveraging technology through its HRIS as well as Microsoft Office products, FINEOS was able to facilitate communication and networking, while providing an opportunity for employees to provide feedback to continually enhance the programme.
A key feature of the “Spring! Onboarding” programme includes the inclusion of welcome coaches and buddies. These roles provide new hires with opportunities for learning, strengthening skills, and creating social connections.
Since its launch in 2022, the “Spring! Onboarding” programme has significantly reduced attrition rates and improved satisfaction ratings from new hires. Attrition among new employees has dropped from 38% to 6%, and feedback from employees shows an overall satisfaction rating of four out of five for the onboarding experience.
By conducting stakeholder reviews involving HR, leadership, and new hires, focusing on continuous improvement, implementing robust measurement tools, keeping content fresh, and leveraging technology, FINEOS is setting its Spring! Onboarding programme up for sustainable success.
FINEOS won the HRO Today Association Award for Best in Class: Innovation, non-technical in EMEA and APAC.
