Cresset has announced the hiring of Melissa Karetny as executive managing director and chief people officer. Karetny beings more than 20 years of experience as a human resources leader with demonstrated success driving people strategy, innovation, and execution of coaching and talent development across the finance, baking, retail, e-commerce, technology, and media sectors.
She most recently completed a transition role with JPMorgan Chase supporting the successful integration of talent and HR processes following the acquisition of First Republic Bank. Karetny is based in San Francisco and will be a member of Cresset’s management committee.

Karetny holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy, politics, and law from Binghamton University.
