HRO Today Association Update: September 2022

The HRO Today Association continues to grow across Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa, and I am pleased to announce that we have welcomed two new members to our EMEA Board of Advisors: Emma Martin, senior director, people partner Europe for FIS and Ursula Priester, director human resources EMEA for Digital Realty. A seat on our advisory board supports an HR professional’s development and raises their profile in the community. It also serves as a personal forum for best practice sharing, networking, learning, and leadership. The EMEA board will hold an in-person meeting on October 31st as part of The 2022 HRO Today Forum EMEA, in Athens, Greece.

Today’s workforce is changing at a light-speed pace and savvy HR executives are leveraging cloud, mobile, and social technologies to attract, engage, and retain top performers and the HRO Today Forum EMEA will examine how HR executives can drive corporate strategy. I am honored to be presenting the 2022 HRO Today Talent Acquisition Leader of the Year Awards for EMEA at the event.

Speaking of awards, the Association will recognize HR excellence as we reveal the winners of the 2022 HRO Today Association Awards on November 16th during our virtual HRO Today Association Conference.  These awards recognize leadership, collaboration, innovation, and hard work, as well as a commitment to people and process improvement.  This year’s award categories include, “HR Team of the Year,” “Innovation in HR Technology,” “Engagement Strategy Excellence,” and more. Now more than ever, recognition is critical to meaningful employee engagement, effective development programs, and a winning culture.

The theme for this year’s HRO Today Association Conference is: “Let’s Make A (HR) Deal,” or better, “Let’s Make the Most Successful Deal.” No HR department has the infrastructure or technology to operate in today’s crazy and ever-changing world without service and technology partners. It’s impossible to keep up with the changes impacting the field of human resources. The right partners help HR to success, the wrong choices lead to failure.  The HRO Today Association Conference helps bridge the gap for providers and practitioners. Join your peers as we hear from a panel of CHROs, Dr. Peter Cappelli, director, Wharton Center for Human Resources and more to answer these questions.
