SharedXpertise Media, LLC (“SharedXpertise”), publisher of HRO Today and HRO Today Global, organizer of HRO Today Forum events, and manager of the HRO Today, C-TEN and TALENT associations, is committed to bringing you information tailored to your individual needs. We recognize the importance of protecting the privacy of personally identifiable information collected about our customers and prospects. In adopting this customer privacy policy, our intent is to balance our legitimate business interests in collecting and using information with your reasonable expectations of privacy.

Collection of Personal Data
The personal data SharedXpertise may collect includes, but is not limited to, names, job titles, company names, email addresses, phones numbers, and addresses.

Your personal information may be shared with SharedXpertise in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, event registration, webinar enrollment, research study or survey participation, research report downloads, and award nomination through a third-party partner submission.

SharedXpertise’s website may place a “cookie” on the browser of a SharedXpertise user’s computer. The “cookie” itself does not contain any personally identifying information. A “cookie” can be used to tell when your computer has contacted a website. This information is used for editorial purposes and purposes such as delivery of ads, to enable customized delivery of information without compromising privacy.

Disclosure of Personal Data
If you do not wish to receive any e-mails or to have SharedXpertise share such information with another party, you may “opt out” at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any informational email we send to you, or via regular mail, telephone (+1- 215-606-9520) or email.

Under certain circumstances, SharedXpertise may be required or permitted by law or court order to collect, use, and/or disclose personal information. Under these circumstances, notice of disclosure may not be required.

In the event of a sale, merger, liquidation, dissolution, reorganization, or acquisition of SharedXpertise, the acquiring party would agree to be bound by the terms of SharedXpertise’s privacy policy before any information would be transferred.

Regarding our website, hrotoday.com, visitors need not register or give any personally identifiable information in order to read the basic sections of the website. We do not mine visitor email addresses related to website visits in order to obtain email addresses for our mailing database without the visitor’s express consent or opt-in.

Your email address and any other personal information related to that email address is housed in our mailing database indefinitely, or until you either request to unsubscribe by clicking the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any informational email we send to you, via telephone (+1- 215-606-9520) or email.

Event Cancellation, Postponement, and Substitution Policy

You may substitute the attendee at any time by providing reasonable advance notice to SharedXpertise Media, LLC. For any cancellations received in writing not less than eight (8) days prior to the conference or education class, you will receive a 100% credit to be used at another SharedXpertise Media, LLC conference or education class which must occur within one year from the date of issuance of such credit. No credit will be issued for any cancellations occurring within seven (7) days (inclusive) of the conference or education class.

In the event that SharedXpertise Media, LLC cancels an event for any reason beyond force majeure, you will have a choice of receiving a refund of 100% of the contract fee paid or a credit for double the value of the original contract fee paid. You may use the credit on a canceled event for another SharedXpertise Media, LLC event to be mutually agreed with SharedXpertise Media, LLC, that occurs within one year from the date of cancellation.

In the event that SharedXpertise Media, LLC postpones an event for any reason and the attendee is unable or unwilling to attend in on the rescheduled date, you will receive a credit for 100% of the contract fee paid. You may use this credit for another SharedXpertise Media, LLC event which must occur within one year from the date of postponement. Except as specified above, no refunds or credits will be issued for cancellations.

SharedXpertise Media, LLC shall assume no liability whatsoever in the event a conference or education class is canceled, rescheduled, or postponed due to a fortuitous event, Act of God, unforeseen occurrence, or any other event that renders performance of this conference impracticable, illegal or impossible. For purposes of this clause, a fortuitous event shall include, but not be limited to war, fire, labor strike, extreme weather, or other emergencies.

Please note that while speakers and topics were confirmed at the time of publishing, circumstances beyond the control of the organizers may necessitate substitutions, alterations, or cancellations of the speakers and/or topics. As such, SharedXpertise Media, LLC reserves the right to alter or modify the advertised speakers and/or topics if necessary without any liability to you whatsoever. Any substitutions or alterations will be updated on our web page as soon as possible.

Use of Personal Data

A user’s personally identifiable information (e.g., name, e-mail address) may be used by SharedXpertise for editorial, marketing and promotional purposes.

E-mails may be sent relating to SharedXpertise’s products, promotions or services, as well as to communicate on behalf of other companies. All recipients of communications from SharedXpertise have been “opted-in”, receiving permission to be contacted by the Company. From time to time, SharedXpertise may partner with a third-party and send a co-branded communication, which may also request personal data be provided. In such cases, the use of your personal data by the third-party is covered by their privacy policy, and not SharedXpertise’s privacy policy.

Contact information collected during the event registration process (name, title, company, email, phone, address) will be shared with the sponsors of the event. Sponsors are listed on each conference website. To opt-out of sponsor communications before the event takes place, please email events@sharedxpertise.com. Once your registration information has been shared with sponsors, you may opt-out of their communications by informing the sponsor or unsubscribing to their emails.

Web servers assisting SharedXpertise automatically collect information about which pages each user visits and the domain name of visitors to be used for internal review, to tailor information to individual visitors and for traffic audits. We also provide this information (as well as information from third-party market researchers) about our users on an aggregated, anonymous basis to our advertisers. Any personally identifiable information provided online as part of an advertiser promotion online may be provided directly to advertisers.
