Human Resources (HR), as a practice area and business function, is undergoing the greatest level of change it’s ever experienced. Between the rising demand for qualified labor and the integration of new technology like AI, HR professionals are facing more responsibilities that require more diverse expertise. HR leaders almost universally agree that their department’s scope of responsibility has expanded over the last three years, and they anticipate it will grow even further in upcoming years.
HR executives are taking action to prepare for the anticipated change, primarily by redefining roles and responsibilities within the department, according to over three-quarters (76%) of global respondents. In the meantime, the biggest HR/TA investment priority is workforce retention and maximizing leader and manager effectiveness.
