HRO Today Association Update – October 2021

The HRO Today Association is the standard-setting organization for the HR industry and a global community that keeps you informed about the most critical topics in HR. Members learn together, strengthen their networks, and share best and next practices in talent acquisition, management, engagement, diversity and inclusion and more.

Each month, the Association offers professional development opportunities for HR professionals. For October, these included:

• “Livestream:” Recruiters Are from Mars, Hiring Managers Are from Venus
• “Livestream:” How Talent Optimization Can Help Improve Talent and Business Performance
• “HR Table Talk:” Virtual Shared Problem-Solving Discussion

November is award season! The HRO Today Association Awards is an annual recognition program that exemplifies the essential work that HR professionals do every day. The nomination process offers people, teams, partners, and companies the opportunity to share best practices and successes so colleagues -and the industry -can benefit from their experience. The awards recognize leadership, collaboration, innovation, and hard work, as well as a commitment to people and process improvement.

Finalists and winners for the EMEA and North America regions will be presented during the HRO Today Association Conference on Wednesday, November 17, 2021. Winners in the APAC region will be presented during a virtual ceremony on December 16, 2021, at 8 p.m. ET.

I encourage you to reserve your seat now for the 2021 HRO Today Association Conference, a micro-event that will examine how to best configure HR to achieve the new operational excellence that’s required to meet the next wave of change. Dr. Peter Cappelli, director of the Wharton Center for Human Resources, will share his research on The Future of the Office; Jeffrey Lackey, vice president of talent acquisition for CVS Health, will discuss Creating a Culture of Innovation Before and After the Hire; and a panel of CHROs will highlight solutions, analysis, and evidence-based decision-making to help HR leaders at all organizational levels think about new ways to address their challenges. I hope to see you logged on!
