HRO Today Association Update: New Year, New Opportunities

The Association continues to grow! Please join me in welcoming Erin Yates, senior manager of membership services. Erin has extensive experience working with associations and we’re excited to bring her talent and expertise. Erin will manage our monthly livestreams, “HR Table Talks,” and overall member engagement.

I’m pleased to share that Orion Talent, a leading provider of workforce solutions, has recently joined the Association, and C TEN members Elisa Bannon-Jones, chief people officer of GNC, and Rebecca Sinclair, chief people officer and communications officer of American Tire Distributors, have joined our North America Board of Advisors.

Are you and your organization equipped to thrive in an era of disruption? DEI can be one of your secret weapons for getting ahead of the disruption curve. Association members should attend our March 17th livestream, “A Chief Diversity Officer Interview,” to learn how to set up your DEI structure to enable the rapid and agile communication you need today to stem the loss of talent and gain business opportunities. Convenient and interactive, the Association’s livestreams allow members to connect with each other around content and best practice sharing. Led by industry thought leaders, lecturers, and members, our livestreams offer timely content and valuable insights members can use to assist them in their role.

Our recent “HR Table Talk” brought Association members together for a “Mindset Reset” to discuss the importance of mental fitness. Kristen Lampert, managing director, talent consulting and coaching at TalentRise, did a great job facilitating the discussion and provided tools members can use to manage stress and their overall well-being. Following “HR Table Talks,” Lisa Williams, director, talent management at Physicians Endoscopy (PE GI Solutions), shared the following comments. “Thank you for today’s ‘HR Table Talks.’ What great conversation and shared information. I look forward to implementing some of the ideas shared by the group. Looking forward to future sessions.”

“HR Table Talks” provide a safe space for Association members to discuss the challenges and issues that keep them up at night. These are not slide-driven webinars, but rather virtual conversations members use to tap into the minds of their peers for support and advice. Association members, please check our website for future sessions.

Erin has created a form that members interested in presenting livestreams can use to submit speaking topics. You’ll find it on the livestream webpage, or you can send her an email at Erin.Yates@SharedXpertise.com.

To all of our members who have chosen to be a part of the HRO Today Association and C-TEN, I thank you. We promise to continue to offer a high level of educational and professional development opportunities for you to choose from.
