GeoLearning, Inc., a provider of on-demand learning and performance management technology platforms, said the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), through the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), has selected the GeoMaestro Learning Management Suite (LMS) to deliver and manage training regarding NFIP rules, policies, and procedures. The platform and professional services contract will total $11.6 million during the next five years.
FEMA will deploy GeoLearning’s GeoMaestro platform to support a nation-wide training initiative targeting 20,000 insurance agents, lenders, and claims adjusters regarding NFIP rules, policies, and procedures. FEMA will also leverage GeoLearning’s Professional Services Group to help develop training content for instructor-led distance learning and NFIP webinars to be delivered using GeoLearning’s GeoConnect virtual classroom tool. Insurance agents will be able to obtain continuing education credits for successfully completing the NFIP training. This national agent requirement supports the National Flood Insurance Reform Act of 2004.

GeoLearning will also provide Internet hosting, security and maintenance services, content development, vendor management, professional services, and help desk support for FEMA administrators and students as part of the five-year managed learning services contract.
