Cap Gemini sells health practice for $175M to Accenture

LONDON (MarketWatch) — Cap Gemini on Thursday said it’s selling itshealth care project and consulting practice in the U.S. and Canada for$175 million to Accenture Ltd , as well as transfering 600 employees.The French IT group said the deal is part of its 400 million euro assetdisposal program announced September 2004. The French IT company willretain its outsourcing contracts with health care clients in the U.S.,as well as federal public sector health consulting capabilities in theU.S.
