Technologies that enhance our lives, personally and professionally, continue to emerge every day. I don’t know that Pokemon Go enhances everyone’s lives, but it certainly has people talking and has captured the interest of millions across the globe.
The HRO Today Services and Technology Association is a global association of HR Executives, thought leaders, and industry experts working in roles as practitioners, providers, and analysts to participate in conversations, set industry standards and practices, and network with others in HR technology and services.
Whilst we haven’t yet launched an HRO Today Go app, we have recognised the need to provide an opportunity for ALL of our members to get more involved in the association. As membership continues to grow this will also ensure that we can better sustain momentum on membership activities and outputs as well as provide additional roles to engage, lead, and learn.
Each committee is led by a chair or co-chairs, one Board of Advisor, and a member. Member chairs will be selected in September, based on interest. Membership in committees is open to all current association members. The committees will provide each of you the opportunity to become more engaged in the association and help us focus on our strategic initiatives for the year. This is a great opportunity for others in your organisations to get involved in setting standards and practices within the industry, network and participate in the association.
We have formed the following committees – these committees will meet monthly, during the third week of each month.
1) Member Services (discussing activities including social networking, member newsletter, association website and new and prospect membership, as well as orientation) meets the third Thursday of each month, 9-1O am ET.
2) Professional Development/Programming (discussing activities, including networking opportunities/events, certification, events such as HRO Today Forums, award programmes, TLC’s, and partnerships) meets the third Thursday of each month, 10-11am ET.
3) Standards and Practices (discussing activities including Baker’s Dozen and other focus groups as determined, research, content, pulse discussions) meets the third Wednesday of each month, 10-11 am ET.
