Ultimate Software, a leading provider of end-to-end strategic human resources,
payroll, and talent management solutions, announced today its acquisition of
R.T.I.X. Limited, a United Kingdom company, and its wholly owned subsidiary
R.T.I.X. Americas, Inc. (RTIX) The acquisition of RTIX expands the
performance management and competency-based talent management feature-sets
that Ultimate Software can provide midsized and large businesses in the
United States and globally.
Ultimate Software has resold RTIX’s performance management and appraisals
solution to its customers since February 2006. In the third quarter of 2006,
30% of Ultimate Software’s new buyers of core UltiPro also purchased the
performance management solution. Branded UltiPro Performance Management, the
product is a critical component in talent management and includes
goal-setting and management, appraisal management, 360 and multi-rater
evaluation capabilities, and security-protected ongoing journal notes on
competencies for both managers and their reports.
RTIX brings a client base of approximately 250 organizations, including
Research International, Peugeot Citroen, Fujitsu Telecom, ABN Amro Bank
(United Kingdom), The Ministry of Defence (England), Ogilvy and Mather
Advertising Agency (Hong Kong and Southeast Asia divisions), Fonterra
(headquartered in New Zealand, the world’s largest exporter of dairy
products), and Weatherford Oil (a U.S.-headquartered company with 29,000
employees worldwide).
RTIX’s developers, support and services people, and founders have joined
Ultimate Software to continue the extension and enhancement of the UltiPro
Talent Management components, including Learning Management, which is
currently being offered to Ultimate Software customers, and Compensation
Management and Succession Planning in 2007. All are competency-based and
tightly integrated.
