A management team led by Seth Bernstein of Orlando, FL, has acquired Atlanta-based Empagio Corporation , a global HR software and outsourcing services company. Terms of the sale were not released.
“Empagio is a robust platform that has been serving large corporations for more than 25 years, and is a great foundation for the company’s future” said Bernstein.
Empagio is built on three strategic units, with Tesseract—a payroll and HR system—being the centerpiece of the Empagio product suite. Its clients currently include many Fortune 100 companies, and it produces more than 3.2 million paychecks per week.
Bernstein said it plans to enhance and develop new state-of-the-art solutions to serve existing customers and attract new ones.
In addition, Bob Purcifull has been named president. He most recently spent nearly five years at Ceridian as VP of sales. Prior to Ceridian, Purcifull was general manager of Zurich Payroll Solutions and vice president and co-owner of Dataccount .
