ACS Signs Significant New Business in Commonwealth of Virginia With Buck Subsidiary

DALLAS, Aug 30, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ — Buck Consultants, an ACS company and one of the world’s leading human resource and benefits consulting firms, announced today that it has been selected by the State Corporation Commission (SCC) of the Commonwealth of Virginia to provide a total rewards assessment. Total rewards include cash compensation, employee benefits, and work/life balance programs.

Buck Consultants will provide a competitive review of the total rewards program, including an analysis of the SCC’s salary levels, benefits, work/life practices, salary structure, and performance management program. Based on the review, Buck will recommend changes to current programs and procedures.

“The Commonwealth of Virginia selected Buck Consultants because its approach, methodology, and project plan were exactly what we were looking for,” said Chester Roberts, Human Resources Director, State Corporation Commission. “The consultants from Buck listened to us, understood our needs, and developed a plan and team that focused on our objectives.”

In addition to total rewards services, Buck Consultants’ compensation consulting line of business advises clients in executive compensation, board of director compensation, performance management, sales force compensation, international compensation, flexible long-term incentive programs, corporate governance, and nonqualified plans.
