The BBC has awarded a 10-year HRO contract to U.K.-based Capita Plc worth $232 million more than a month after first announcing that Capita was its preferred bidder. The deal calls for the provider to deliver "a full range of HR services to the BBC, including recruitment, payroll and pension administration, aspects of staff development, occupational health, and other services. According to the broadcast giant, the contract is expected to save the company £50 million during the life of the accord.
Around 260 jobs will be transferred to Capita, and 100 additional positions will be created in Belfast.
