Advantec Appoints Dianna Sheppard as President

Tampa, FL-based Advantec, a national provider of human resources outsourcing, has promoted Dianna Sheppard from chief operating officer to president. Sheppard steps forward to head Advantec’s senior management team as the company’s former CEO, Pat Goepel, is transitioning from CEO to special advisor to the board.

“Over the past year, Advantec’s Board of Directors has worked diligently to attract and build a top senior management team. The team will remain intact and is well-positioned under Dianna Sheppard’s leadership to continue the initiatives established by Advantec in 2006, most notably the company’s new client service model, launched in the 1st quarter of this year,” said Chuck Davis, chairman of Advantec’s board of directors.

Sheppard most recently served as senior vice president, sales and partnership management, at Ceridian. She directly managed a team of over 1,000 employees within her $400 million division that included sales, account management and implementation. This division was responsible for all product lines including payroll, HR, benefits, EAP, COBRA, FSA, and HRO. At Ceridian, Sheppard managed company-wide initiatives, leading the company to record retention of both employees and customers during her tenure as senior vice president. She led initiatives to improve customer relations and customer satisfaction.

Sheppard’s 22 years of leadership experience includes creating and defining strategies, standards, and policies in the areas of operations, customer service, sales, implementation, and market management.

“I have been incredibly impressed with the strong leadership of Advantec’s senior management team and am honored to have the opportunity to guide Advantec on the journey it has begun. Due to the success of our service and technology efforts initiated over the last few years, we are well-placed to take a leadership role in our market. Advantec’s senior team will employ a solid strategy of continuing to focus on the three basics of a great business, which are people, process and technology. In addition, there will be a keen emphasis on service excellence,” said Sheppard. “I am excited to lead Advantec in a time of growth, and I am committed to maintaining the exceptional quality of our relationships with our clients, our agency partners, our vendors, and our internal associates.”

Sheppard received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and attended graduate school at Long Beach State University. She was active in many civic groups in California and looks forward to continuing her community involvement after she and her family have relocated to the Tampa Bay area.

"We are fortunate to have a successful, results driven leader to head Advantec’s senior team. As we worked over the past year to assemble our leadership team, we quickly identified Dianna Sheppard as the ideal candidate to serve as President of Advantec. We are excited to see Dianna transition into this role as leader of a team of highly experienced human resource professionals who have worked to place Advantec at the forefront of the human resources services market space," concluded Jack Murray, Vice Chairman of Advantec’s Board of Directors.
