Affiliated Computer Services, (ACS), has completed the acquisition of the HR consulting and outsourcing businesses of Mellon Financial Corporation. Mellon Financial is a US-based asset management company. Although the deal had been fixed at USD 445 million, ACS paid a final purchase price of USD 405 million for the acquisition. The value of the deal was affected by the sluggish HR consulting revenues. Meanwhile, the deal is expected to position ACS as a major contender in the end-to-end HR services marketplace.
