Global business signals renewed focus on its people with promotion for former SVP of Client Services
London 08 April 2022 —Cielo, the world’s leading strategic Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) partner, is pleased to announce the promotion of Kirsten Mayer to Senior Vice President of Global Talent Development. The move comes as the company commits to elevating its commitment to the development and wellbeing of team members around the world.
With more than 15 years’ experience in RPO and more than six years at Cielo, coupled with a learning and development educational background, Kirsten was identified as the ideal candidate to take on the newly created role. The primary focus of the role will be developing Cielo’s processes for colleagues to progress in their careers, enhancing training, and introducing new programmes and initiatives to ensure staff are supported in their career development.
Kirsten Mayer said, “Since I began my career with Cielo, I have taken a personal interest in its people and culture and how we are adapting in line with the world around us. There’s been so much change within our business as we grow, and it’s vital that we continue to support colleagues in adjusting to those changes. We recognise the importance of prioritising the wellbeing of our people, while also working with them to achieve their career development goals, and this new role will put into action the promises we make to help our people enhance their careers.”
“I am very pleased to be given this opportunity within my own career and am proud to work for a company that supports the interests and passions of its people and is ensuring it is providing new opportunities. My time within Cielo has shown me there’s incredible talent in this business – and prospective talent we’d love to attract – and I look forward to working with more colleagues, identifying our future leaders and ensuring we are supporting personal development for current and future Cielo team members. As we work with so many businesses around the globe, I believe we can share our own thoughts and processes with others and support them in developing their own people and culture initiatives.”
In a statement about Kirsten’s new role, CHRO Molly Thiel said:
“We are very excited to have Kirsten in this new role and ensure we’re giving this vital area of our business the focus it deserves. We talk constantly to our clients about the need to support staff in their training and career development and this is an action to continue help us to practice what we preach by ensuring this is a key area of growth in our own business.”
“The last two years has seen people within many organisations feel unsettled in their roles and consider making a change. We want to help our current and future colleagues see the opportunities within our business and ensure they’re given every chance to develop their careers and achieve their goals.”
Following several years of quick and exceptional growth for Cielo across a wide range of services, including RPO, Total Talent Acquisition, Employer Brand and Executive Search, Kirsten’s new role has been identified as a way to ensure that internal teams are fully supported in a fast-changing environment.
