Discover the Association’s Newest Member Program – Knowledge Centers

Introduced last month, HRO Today Association’s Knowledge Centers will hold its inaugural meetings in September. As we prepare for these meetings, now is great time to get better acquainted with this exclusive member-only program.

Knowledge Centers are special interest groups that will provide deep dives into shared topics, cultivate a distinct community of members, and offer volunteer leadership and speaking opportunities. Click here to view a quick video to learn more!

Currently, there are two established Knowledge Centers: Talent Acquisition/Talent Management (TA/TM) and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I). TA/TM tackles recruitment strategies, employee engagement, and leadership growth. DE&I targets workplace diversity, equity, and inclusion, with resources on unconscious bias, cultural competency, and inclusive leadership.

September will feature the first quarterly meetings for these groups, with TA/TM meeting virtually on September 13 at 11:00 AM ET, followed by DE&I on September 20 at 11:00 AM ET. Click the links to view agendas and register.

While all members are eligible to attend these meetings, you can maximize their value by joining as a Knowledge Center Member, at no cost. Benefits include recognition on the webpage and marketing materials, priority meeting access, contributing discussion ideas, and potential speaking opportunities.  To join, contact Steve Farace at Steve.Farace@SharedXpertise.com, specifying your desired Knowledge Center (or both).

The HRO Today Association’s Knowledge Centers are designed to boost to our invaluable community, keeping HR professionals current on trends and sharing best practices. Join as a Knowledge Center Member and start reaping the rewards today.

The Results Are in From the Association’s Member Engagement Survey

Thank you to the many members who completed the brief Q2 Membership Survey. The feedback received will be integral to our continued efforts to better engage members of the Association. Survey highlights include:

  • 54% of respondents characterized their level of engagement as Moderate to High.
  • A large portion of respondents currently use/access Association communication through the Monthly Member Newsletter (76%) and Weekly Membership Minute email (71%). There is more room for improvement on the use/access of the website and LinkedIn page.
  • Three-quarters of respondents believe the frequency of communications is “just right”.
  • 77% of respondents are either Very Likely (34.2%) or Likely (41.5%) to attend a HRO Today Association event in the upcoming year.

Respondents also provided tremendous feedback on how the organization can improve its member engagement efforts, including suggestions to provide continuing education credits for seminars, incentives for inviting colleagues to programs to expand interest and engagement and consider speakers and topics from outside the industry.

Finally, congratulations to Denise Williams of FIS Global who won the drawing for a $25 Amazon Gift Card! Members will next have an opportunity to provide feedback and a chance to win a gift card when HRO Today Association launches its Q3 Membership Survey in early August.
