EQUATERRA PUBLIC SECTOR EXECUTIVE INVITED TO PRESENT ON BEST PRACTICES TO OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT AND BUDGETS ACQUISITION ADVISORY

WASHINGTON, D.C. (August 18, 2005) EquaTerra Public Sector LLC, a multi-national sourcing advisory, research and governance services firm supporting public sector organizations, today announced it was invited to provide testimony on services contracting best practices to the Office of Management and Budgets Acquisition Advisory Panel (AAP.) Mark Stelzner, EquaTerra Public Sectors Executive Vice President of Market and Business Development, addressed the AAP today at its public meeting held in Washington, D.C.

The statutory charter of the AAP is to review and recommend any necessary changes to acquisition laws and regulations as well as government-wide acquisition policies with a view toward ensuring effective and appropriate use of commercial practices and performance-based contracting.

Stelzner was invited to address the Panel for two reasons: 1) EquaTerras wealth of experience in transformational sourcing initiatives for both commercial and public sector entities, which includes close to $10 billion in total dollar value in the past year; 2) his firms emphasis on the necessity of a lifecycle approach, strong post-contract relationship management and governance, and conflict-free advisory services to enhance public acquisition process, policy and outcomes.

Framing his presentation to the Panel, Stelzner said, Your work will help ensure effective, efficient and fair outcomes in government contracting. These same values underpin the approach my organization, EquaTerra, takes in helping public and private entities maximize operational efficiency gains.

Stelzners full testimony may be downloaded from the AAPs website (http://www.acqnet.gov/aap/) or via direct request by sending an e-mail to: mark.stelzner@equaterra.com.
