Chobani Announces Executive Leadership Appointments – Bringing on Former Peloton and PepsiCo Execs to Lead People and Legal Teams

Food Maker Names Shari Eaton Chief People Officer & Marjorie De La Cruz Chief Legal Officer  

  

NEW BERLIN, N.Y., November 3, 2022 – Chobani today announced two new executive leadership appointments. Shari Eaton, formerly with Peloton, was named Chief People Officer, beginning November 7. Marjorie De La Cruz, most recently with PepsiCo, will transition to Chobani’s Chief Legal Officer by the end of the year.

Both Eaton and De La Cruz will join the company’s Executive Leadership Team and report directly to Kevin Burns, Chobani President and Chief Operating Officer.

Eaton spent more than three years at Peloton Interactive leading the Global People/Safety & Security function, most recently serving as the Chief People and Culture Officer. Prior to Peloton, Eaton led teams at Amazon, Teavana, and Starbucks. She has more than 20 years of experience leading teams and partnering with executive leadership to grow and transform organizations. In addition to her people leadership skills, Eaton also has significant experience in operations and management – giving her a unique and helpful perspective as Chobani continues to grow. Her favorite Chobani product is Core Pumpkin Spice. 

  

De La Cruz brings with her deep experience across multiple functional areas following her 18-year tenure at PepsiCo, where she most recently served as the Global Chief Compliance and Ethics Officer. She has extensive commercial and international experience working with teams to enhance and grow their businesses and has been a value-added strategic partner in all her executive in-house counsel roles.  With a diverse background, stemming from a dual culture experience, she has great success in effectively adapting to the needs of an organization, and brings a focus on addressing complex challenges through innovative solutions. She is bilingual in Spanish and English. Her favorite Chobani product is Flip Coffee Brownie Bliss. 

  

These moves are an important part of the growth of the Chobani leadership team and Chobani’s elevation as a next generational food and beverage business. With the recent additions of Tarkan Gürkan as Chief Financial Officer and Kenneth Bishop appointed to the new role of Senior Vice President International Market Development, the company continues to add talent and position itself to capture the tremendous opportunities.
