Utix and PMG Launch ‘Promotainment’

Promotional Programs Will Feature Movie Studio Content, Fun Movie Graphic Collectibles and Utix Movie Tickets

BURLINGTON, Mass., Aug. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Utix Group, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: UTXG – News), the leader in prepaid gift ticket experiences, today announced in collaboration with PMG that the companies have developed an innovative, in-theatre cross-promotional campaign designed to drive consumer brand awareness to new heights for their Fortune 500 clients.

Based in Kansas, Missouri, PMG was founded in 1993 on the ideal that Hollywood studios and theatrical exhibitors should provide the movie-going audience with a more interactive and fun experience at the theatre. Consequently, PMG created its first line of Movie Graphic Collectibles for theatre concession stands. For over 12 years, PMG’s pre-release marketing and promotional tools have been used by virtually every major motion picture studio and in over 500 movie theatre circuits and distribution channels.

The combination of access to Utix movie tickets and PMG’s in-theatre marketing capabilities allow clients to create specific consumer call-to- action goals and new customer acquisition programs. The first “promotainment” initiative the two companies undertake will be on behalf of America Online (AOL). Utix and PMG are scheduled to roll out an AOL member acquisition campaign in September with an in-theatre promotion featuring Dreamwork’s new release, “Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit,” which is scheduled for release in October 2005.

“Providing moviegoers with the opportunity to interactively discover fun and exciting details about a highly anticipated movie, the movie characters and the special offers provided by our corporate promotion partners significantly enhances everyone’s experience,” stated Dave Johnson, CEO and Founder of PMG. Continuing, he added, “Utix helps us complete the promotional experience for corporate partners in ways that are truly more compelling and rewarding.”

Utix CEO Tony Roth stated, “Our dynamic movie ticket launch last winter featuring ‘The Incredibles’ movie release clearly placed Utix in the national movie gift ticket business.” During that launch, Utix issued more that 1.5 million seats as part of a major communication company’s direct mail campaign. Utix is the only marketer of electronic movie tickets in the form of magnetic stripped, prepaid plastic tickets that are redeemable for two movie admissions through the vast Discover Network.

Roth added, “Our cooperative marketing agreement with PMG affords us the opportunity to build a much stronger footprint in the entertainment industry. This milestone, stemming from our studio relationships through theatre exhibitors, is ultimately rewarding the consumers.”
