Lisa is a strategic HR executive and pragmatic business partner with over 20 years of broad leadership experience supporting highly matrixed environments in Fortune 100 companies at the corporate, division and business unit levels. She serves as a trusted advisor and change agent in the areas of organizational effectiveness, executive succession and career management, employee engagement, leadership development, human resource process improvement and talent acquisition. She has served in key HR leadership roles at National Express, LLC, Navistar, Manroland, and Mitsubishi Motors of America. She earned a BS in Speech Communication Education and an MS in Communication from Illinois State University.
As an HR executive with experience in many of the Fortune 500, successful startups in and around the Silicon Valley and a number of global enterprises, Mary has extensive experience in large scale organizational growth, talent transformation and change and talent enablement. She has held numerous leadership positions in a wide range of top technology. BPO, pharmaceutical and consumer product companies as well as working in financial, energy and retail industries.
In her various roles, she spearheaded numerous talent acquisition and retention strategies and campaigns for hard to fill high tech and leadership needs across multiple industries and talent shortages. From personally providing full scale recruiting services, to establishing talent acquisition strategies and championing “new to industry” approaches- Mary focuses on helping leaders, organizations and groups develop effective strategies for generating significant growth and success.
Currently, as VP Talent Management for Concentrix – she leads the Executive and Hi Pot development and coaching effort focusing on several key areas essential to success in a chaotic/fast changing world: Vision and Strategy, Enabling Remote Work Groups and employee engagement in today’s key skill set shortages.
Mary has Masters in Organizational and Leadership Development from JFK University, Bachelor’s in Psychology/Business from Marquette University and many certifications in the field of Management, Executive Leadership and Talent Development.
DeRetta Cole Rhodes, Ph.D., is the SVP/Head of People Capital for the Atlanta Braves where she supports the Major League, Minor League and Battery property development in all areas of People Capital initiatives.
Previously, DeRetta was the EVP/Chief Human Resources officer of YMCA of Metro, the VP, Human Resources, at First Data, where she provided consultation on human capital and organizational development strategies for over 5,000 First Data colleagues within Financial Services and Consumer and Network Solutions, the Vice president of human resources for Turner Broadcasting Systems, Inc., supporting Global Technology Operations.
Before joining Turner, DeRetta held leadership roles with EY, ADP, HomeGrocer.com, and YUM Brand.
DeRetta received her undergraduate degree from University of Georgia, her Master’s in Business Administration from Clark Atlanta University and her Ph.D. in Adult Education from University of Georgia. She is a certified facilitator for the Benchmark 360 assessment by the Center for Creative Leadership, DISC coach and facilitator, qualified facilitator for the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and qualified coach for HOGAN Assessment.
Currently she is a Board of Director member and Membership Engagement Chair of Human Resource Leadership Forum (HRLF), member of Human Resource People & Strategy (HRPS), Board of Director member and Board Development Chair of 21st Leadership, member of Argyle Advisory Board, and past president of the Alumni Board of Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) at University of Georgia.

DeRetta lives in Cumming, Georgia with her husband Leon and has three sons, Cole, 21, Austin, 19 and Jordan, 18.
Allan H. Church, PhD, is the Senior Vice President Global Talent Management at PepsiCo where he is responsible for setting the enterprise talent assessment and development strategy for high-potential identification. During the past 20 years there he has designed and delivered many of the company’s world class processes and tools including performance management, talent planning and review, employee surveys, 360 feedback, and several leadership competency models. Previously he spent nine years as an external OD consultant working for W. Warner Burke Associates and several years at IBM in the Communications Measurement and Research, and Corporate Personnel Research departments where he worked on advertising insights and global surveys. Allan received his Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University, and is a Fellow of the Society for Industrial-Organizational Psychology, the American Psychological Association, and the Association for Psychological Science.
