About David:

David Cook, Jr. is the Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer for TriHealth, Inc., an over $2B healthcare system with over 13,000 team members.  He is focused on the health system’s most important asset, its workforce.  His team’s mission is to foster an environment where team members are provided with the resources and opportunities for continuous growth and development which translates into an outstanding experience for patients and thereby, a lasting competitive advantage for the hospitals.

David is a dynamic and seasoned healthcare executive who has worked in a variety of industries, including healthcare, telecommunications, home building, banking, transportation and academia. He has over two decades of human resources leadership experience successfully managing all aspects of the human resources function.  His work as a senior human resources leader has involved working very closely with executive teams in the creation and deployment of strategic human resources initiatives which led to consistent achievement of business plan results across a variety of industries.

He is known for delivering creative HR solutions that translate into successful attainment of corporate and divisional goals.  He has continually garnered support and buy-in for the strategic alignment of the human resources function with the operational and financial goals of the enterprise.  His accomplishments have been consistently acknowledged as those of a highly effective, results-oriented leader, mentor and value-added business partner whose contributions extended far beyond the normal expectations of typical human resources management responsibilities.

Cook’s professional experience is complemented and strengthened by a M.B.A. in Human Resources Management, and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Miami, and a M.S. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology (ABT) from the University of Central Florida.  Additionally, he has completed the Center for Creative Leadership’s Leadership Development for HR Professionals program and National Academy of Human Resources Chief Human Resources Officer Academy.  He is also a certified executive coach.

Cook is also an active participant in his community.  Currently, he serves as the Board Chair for Junior Achievement of Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana’s Board of Trustees.
