These are a few words and phrases that made a lasting impact after my deep-dive discussion with four HR industry leaders at the HRO Today Forum this May. The quartet that joined me on stage (pictured above):

Employee confidence levels are seemingly up, said the foursome—and forward-thinking organizations need to get in the game and take advantage of that confidence. To Wilson, competition between organizations is a signifier of an improved economy. Companies should consider how willing they are to get and keep the talent they want.

A recent-study reports these talent strategies are big-time differentiators

What gives an organization a competitive advantage? Findings from Cielo’s Talent Activation Index (TAI) study may surprise you. The 2014 research study examined eight talent strategies where the difference in approaches between the highest-performing organizations (leaders) and the poorest- performing organizations (laggards) are most extreme.
Why? “In today’s dynamic and global marketplace, organizations that recognize the increasing importance of talent and proactively push to turn talent strategy into an enabler of corporate vision will win against their competition,” reports Cielo’s CEO Sue Marks.
The eight most-differentiating strategies have the ability to align talent with business strategy for that competitive edge.
What to look for in an integrated platform

HR technology is changing fast and often. The HR tools that normally fell into the hands of HR managers are now also being utilized by employees and in some situations, part- time contractors. Across the industry, these new users are pushing HR technology vendors to provide instant access to critical data, seamless viewing from multiple devices, and an effortless user experience. In response, vendors are now rethinking their approach to software and turning to software integration as the answer.
The proper integration between talent management and HRMS tools is frequently referred to as the holy grail. With over 71 percent of people choosing a technology based on its convenience and ease-of-use, it’s easy to see why. It’s an ideal way to allow organizations to get the maximum value of the vendor’s HR technology.
CEO's Letter: Announcement from SharedXpertise
I would like to take moment to announce the departure of Faye Holland, our Managing Director for the EMEA and APAC regions and the Global Executive Director of the HRO Today Services and Technology Association (formerly HROA). Faye has been with SharedXpertise for more than five years and made a great contribution to our organization and to the larger HR community through her dedication and commitment. Her desire to achieve some other goals in her personal and professional career is understandable and we wish her best of luck in her future endeavors. She will be leaving on July 1 and will, in the interim, transition her association responsibilities to Zachary Misko, the new Global Executive Director of the Association and Vice President here at SharedXpertise.
