A former president of national accounts at competitor ADP, Jay C. Rising, 50, has been named president of Hewitt’s HRO business. Additionally, former acting president Julie Gordon has been named president of client and market leadership, a newly created position. The change is yet more shuffling of top executives at the Lincolnshire, IL-based HRO service provider.
In addition, the company has named Steven N. Fein to the newly created position of sales and product strategy leader and Robert D. Thomas lead client implementations, reporting to Rohail Khan, leader of operations. Tracy S. Keogh has also been named senior vice president of human resources, succeeding Steve King, who will retire in June.
“We are making important changes that will enable Hewitt to realize its full potential for the future,” Hewitt Chairman and CEO Russ Fradin said in making the announcement. “We have augmented our already strong leadership team with new talent, which provides us with a powerful combination of industry perspectives and experience that will help us further enhance our position as the premier HR service provider.”
Rising, who rose to the position after holding several senior executive posts at several other Fortune 500 organizations, was most recently president of field operations at RightNow Technologies, a customer experience software company at which he was responsible for global sales, marketing, and consulting operations. Prior to RightNow, he spent nearly 10 years at ADP, where he held several senior positions and helped grow revenues and improve operating margins as president of national accounts. He also held a variety of management positions at American Express.
“Jay is a proven leader with an impressive track record of building businesses and delivering client-focused results. He excels at sales and marketing, and brings a wealth of industry experience to Hewitt,” said Fradin. “I am confident that under his direction, we will advance the meaningful progress we’ve made in strengthening our HR outsourcing business.”
Gordon, who held the position of acting president for the HRO business after Bryan Doyle resigned June of last year as part of a management shakeup, will report to Fradin and oversee Hewitt’s overall client relationship strategy, with particular focus on its largest clients.
