ACS Expands Global BPO Capabilities With Opening of New Services Center In Fiji

Air New Zealand and Asia/Pacific Business Drives Move to Fiji

DALLAS, Nov. 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ACS (NYSE: ACS), a premier provider of business process and information technology outsourcing solutions, announced today that it has opened a new business process outsourcing (BPO) services center in Suva, Fiji. The center will support BPO services for ACS retail and transportation industry clients in the Pacific Rim, as well as U.S.-based clients.

Currently, ACS operates global production facilities in Mexico, Guatemala, Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, Ghana, Spain, and Bangalore, India. ACS has more than 40,000 employees worldwide, with 12,000 employees outside the U.S. The work performed at these centers includes BPO support services in finance and accounting; human resources; payment services; sales, marketing, and customer care; supply chain management; and corporate administration.

"Our new operations in Fiji further expand our global capabilities, allowing us to support an ever-growing list of clients in the Asia-Pacific region," said Lynn Blodgett, Group President of ACS Commercial Solutions. "ACS is the leading provider of diversified BPO services in the world, employing the largest offshore workforce in our industry. While companies today are building their global capabilities, ACS has been doing so since the early 1990s."

A close working relationship with major client Air New Zealand was a key reason for the move to Fiji. Air New Zealand Vice President Revenue Accounting, Andrew McCurdie says the airline is delighted at the company's move to the South West Pacific.

"Air New Zealand has utilized ACS' services for some time and has always encouraged ACS to consider Fiji as an operational location. We are pleased that work for Air New Zealand that was previously being done in Mexico is now being done in our local region, to the benefit of Fiji. We are very pleased with the initial work being done by the Fijian operation and look forward to a great future working with them," Mr. McCurdie said.

Occupying two floors of a new seven-story building in Suva, the center will immediately employ 60 workers. It will employ 300 by January 2004. Fiji was chosen because of the predominance of English as the primary language, the availability of a highly professional workforce, and the area's stable geo- political climate.
